Covid Response Plan
All participants, volunteers, officials and contractors over the age of 12 years and 3 months will need to show proof of double vaccination – ie their Covid Vaccination Pass.

9.00am: – 200m Pak n Save Napier
9.15am: – 500m Individual Higgins
9.15am: – 500m Teams Higgins
9:40am: – 1km Individual HB Regional Council
9:40am: – 1km Teams Napier City Council
10:30am: – 2.5km Individual blue seventy
10:30am: – 2.5km Teams T+G Global
Prizegiving starts 30 minutes after completion of the final race (approx. 12pm) on the grass area in front of East Pier Hotel. If the weather is poor, it will be held in the East Pier Hotel function room.
A compulsory race briefing will be held in the starting area 10 minutes prior to each race start time.
Online entries close 9pm Thursday 17th February 2021.
Late entries will be via manual entry forms at registration on Friday 19th February (@ East Pier Hotel) between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
Eftpos facilities will be available on Friday for late entries. Please note that late entries incur an additional fee of $10 plus admin fee.

RACE PACK COLLECTION
4:30pm – 6:30pm, Friday 19th February at East Pier Hotel.
Race packs must be picked up by the participant the day before the event.
The Napier Port Ocean Swim 2022 is a Vaccinated Event. If you are over 12 years and 3 months old you must show us your Covid Vaccination Certificate (Covid Passport).
If for some reason you are unable to pick up your race pack at registration, please contact us to make alternative arrangements. At registration you will receive your final race day instructions, race cap, timing chip, and your hand will be marked with permanent black marker pen with your race number.
You must wear a face mask when you pick up your race pack and at all times during the event unless you are swimming.
Toilets and showers
Public toilets and cold showers are located near the registration area and finish line.
There is plenty of parking available on the streets around the venue.
Food and drink
A sausage sizzle will be operating throughout the event, so bring your loose change. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance – East Pier is the best place to start. We also have a coffee cart on site for those needing an early morning “coffee fix.”
